Anyone been to Boise? What are the "must-dos" in region with young kids

First time there. Visting family that just moved. Did a ChatGPT search and seems like lots to do.

But curious what others recommend most. Have two small children so long hikes are out unfortunately.

In Garden City is Albertsons Park. People surf the river, ride electric scooters on the bike paths to Boise St, shop and eat along the river, many flat surface trails and watch the kayakers paddle by. Boise is a great town.

Not far from Sun Valley. Sure there are plenty of summertime actives.

Bogus Basin Recreation Area is very underrated in my opinion. It’s on Bogus Basin Road in the north end of Boise. It about 14 miles up the hill. It has various things for people of different ages.

It’s about a three hour drive but feels much longer. I dread making that drive from Boise.

I don’t think you will find anything in Sun Valley that they don’t have at Bogus Basin. The alpine coaster at BB in itself is a great attraction.
