and I liked it. I thought Q. Thornton brought a toughness to the team down the stretch. I loved the way we closed this game. Great game M. Thornton! Geaux Tigers!

I agree Q played tough, he may be the answer against physical teams.

i've been really tough on Q all season long but i gotta give him props today he played a solid game...made good decisions when he had the ball...even had a nice assist to marcus for 3...also held wazzou's best player in check

yeah! I think CJ has lost his drive. He was my favorite. He needs to get it back asap

Quinton has been putting some good minutes and has showed HUGE improvements from last year.

Q. Thornton

Is is just me or does the guy have a receeding hairline and kind of starting to get bald spot in the back of his head? Maybe it's just a bad haircut?

I liked it too. If our 6'11" "center" refuses to get tough under the boards than take his arse out. Trent needs to remind him he's not a fricking 6ft shooting guard so stop trying to play like one.

It's not that easy when you're 6'11 200 lbs

I have also been really tough on Q Thornton all year, but I really don't think we win this game without him (I never thought I would say that about him). He was our only answer inside defensively especially with Tasmin in foul trouble, plus he hustled his butt off.

CJ will help us win some games down the line, but you're right Pistol, he couldn't stop their big in the post and when he's not scoring, no reason to keep him in.

Trent did what he had to do to give the team the best opportunity to win.

CJ is thin, but his head was just not in it today. He missed two point blank lay ups early and never recovered. I am starting to suspect that he is not responding well to the tough attitude Trent Johnson is attempting to instill in this year's team.

The problem was that Quinton was supposed to red-shirt last season, and due to injuries, Brady was forced to play him. I think LSU had 9 players dressing out a couple games last year.

I'm tired of this excuse. If he's not going to at least TRY to fight for position than he needs to be on the bench. You can be 200lbs and feisty as a muthafricker.

If Q Thornton can give us quality minutes like today I think him and CJ (when scoring) can be good compliments to each other as SEC play begins.

I think you're just a dumbass because he's obviously been fighting hard because A) he starts B) i've seen him play in person 3 times this year C) Trent Johnson wouldn't be playing him (ala Terry Martin)

He also had a nice steal late in the game when Wazu was trying to force it inside to their behemoth. CJ would have been burned on that one.

Behind Marcus and Bo, I think Q is the next most improved player from last year....

His big body really helped keep that ogreish white boy in check. Hustled on D really well too.

Oh and to the poster commenting about his hair, he is going bald.
