Any of you guys play these? Thoughts?

Have 54/58. With the stock shaft they are much lighter than previous Vokeys, which was my goal.
The 58 is the E version, has old Eye shape and grind, and I’m growing to really like it. 54 with S grind is nice enough. Turf interaction similar to my Vokey which was M grind. Flights a bit higher, maybe slightly shorter. I thought the lighter weight might help with some issues I was having with short green side game. I do like the 54 and 58 both for those short shots.

They say the E grind is the ultimate bunker club. Why is that? Seems like it doesn't have much bounce. Can you hit the E grind outside of when you are in the sand?

I have a 50, 54 and 58 in black. I don't like them. They only hit the ball off of the toe.

It has been very good outside of the sand even on tight lies. It has also been very good inside the sand. Unlike my previous clubs, when you line it up, square it sits on the turf like a low bounce club. If you open it up even a little bit, it goes through the sand like a high bounce club. I can even use it to hit square faced bunker shots, which I actually do pretty often. so far I really like it. I have never personally played an original Eye wedge, but I know people who still swear by them.

I’ll be flat out honest with you.
Barely anyone can tell a difference of the new wedges which I’d say over the last two years to now. Wedges have become universal no matter what manufacturer. Some may be softer but performance is all the same now.

My understanding is that’s the whole point of the Eye design. The bounce is dynamic, versatile, can be manipulated… However you want to describe it.
