Deandre Brown cleared for Southern Miss, but doesn't the SEC have higher standards that were not going to be met?
In the back of my mind I remember hearing that Brown could have made it to LSU, but it was too little, too late.

everyone THOUGHT he wouldn't qualify, but by some miracle he did qualify
he went to USM b/c he was originally planning on being a partial qualifier, but that wasn't necessary
