I have a Squire Strat. The Affinity series. Just a beginner that I bought for my son. He lost interest so I have tweaked it ever since.

I’ve asked this before and I the Fret answered it? But here goes again. Is there a drop in set of tuners that are an upgrade? No new holes no filling holes?

I remember you asking about this.
Does your guitar have screw in bushing tuners with hex heads? There are tons of options available depending on what style of tuners you have.
Check out guitarpartsfactory.com
, If I remember correctly, Fretshack gave you a great recommendation for some retrofit tuners from Gotoh.
You should go back and search your topics on this forum and see exactly what he told you.
, Edit: Pretty sure Fretshack suggested Hipshot tuners like mentioned below.

Hipshot Grip shots is what I normally use. They come with a universal mounting plate, so they don't require any drilling or screwing. They're about 90 bucks.

Now that you mention it, I think that is what Fretshack recommended to him, instead of Gotohs.
I will edit my reply to OP.

I've been using Guyker locking tuners off of Amazon. They work well and they're about $26

Can you post closeup photos of your headstock and tuners?
It would be easier to make recommendations if we know what you have now.
Not all of the Affinity Squiers had the same style of tuners.
I don't understand why you are so averse to drilling/filling holes on a Squier Affinity. It's easy to do and you could install any tuner you want.

Yea, I’d need to know what kind of tuners you’re replacing

The affinity Squier's come with the standard fender die-cast tuners.

OP, here's a link to figure out which tuners are a good fit.

Ok. Looking at Affinity, I didn’t see anything that looked “drop in.” They would probably require a little drilling for screw holes and possibly, but not necessarily reaming of the peg holes. Does anyone know if an affinity headstock is the same thickness of other strat headstocks?
