Did Cortez pull a Biles or is this different?

I'm just curious why he quit. I didn't see an injury. He just asked to leave the game and abandoned the college world series. I mean, is it this board's opinion that he pulled a Biles, or is this different?

He clearly had a lower arm (hopefully not elbow) issue plus was at a season high number of pitches thrown. His velocity was also starting to decline on his fastball.
