I am in no way an expert in recruiting so I was wondering why is it that now we look better than ever to get RR verbal? Has somthing been said that tends to make people think we have a better chance than before? Ihate to start another RR thread but I was just trying to get some info. I'll hang up and listen.

I think people on both sides are starting to realize that RR going anywhere but LSU is unlikely. JMO

I never thought he was a lock for LSU simply because he is talented enough to play anywhere he wants to go to college. I don't think there is any way to compare this situation to the JM situation but it makes you really nervou when thinking about what happenend in the past.

I think people are kind of calming down from the season and realize that Saban is a great recruiter, but its hard to see RR not going to LSU. He has a great chance to start next year, and we have the best OC in the country and Bama runs 60% of the time. We have sort of come to the conclusion that it makes more sense to go to LSU. Of course we have no idea where he is going or if it really is the best place for him lol.

his initial quietness was worrisome but his prolonged quietness is an indication that he is now a lsu lean. if quietness prolongs further, however, he is obviously not coming to lsu. this extreme quietness can be counteracted by some more quietness after the extended quietness. any activity would of course create the inverse effect and the entire equation could thus be be a contra-positive. i believe quietness for another 2 weeks but not greater then 4 weeks is a good indication for lsu.

In a weird way, following recruiting has a spiritual element to it..

The 6th sense sort of speak...We all kinda knew McNight was not coming to LSU, but our hearts held on until the last moment. Crushed!

RR though we don't know for sure, it just feels more and more like he is staying home and will play for LSU.

No one has said anything, it is a spiritual conclusion at this point (things could change)...we could be way off. I am still very cautiously optimistic.

In order to receive the recruiting spirit, you have must log at least 7600 hours on TD, or you can not have it and are considered, "uncommitted".

Psalms 50:50 basically is about, you don't know what you don't know

Totally agree, unless ultra-quietness is achieved. Then, whole equation could be thrown off.

i would agree at first it was worrisome, but whos to say when his "prolonged quietness" equals an LSU lean? and whos to say that lean changes over time? we'll have to be patient just like bama was last year with JJ. itll work out, have faith and :fearthehat:

IMO the only reason people have doubted RR is simply because of Joe Mcknight. The argument that he can play anywhere he wants doesn't really hold water in this town anymore. We should be thankful that when people are offered by everyone right now, we are the premier program they chose. There isn't another program in the country with more clout and it is something we should be proud of. I just like you am nervous when a recruit is quiet, because I am as guilty as anyone by it just not registering that LSU is where kids dream of playing. If Florida wins, they will be the only team since the inception of the BCS that has more credibility than us. This beats the shite out of my Curly college carreer!

Why is it that people were worried about him in the first place?

This rumor about his DAD preferring Nick over Miles has been addressed by RR brother Dmitch who no longer posts here, but this rumor is false 100%
