Driving to Lake of The Ozarks

Driving from Baton Rouge area to Lake of The Ozarks in a couple of weeks and trying to decide which route is better. Looks like you can either take 55 through Memphis or go through Rayville and Little Rock. Anyone driven relatively recently and has any input? Anything interesting to see along away? Thank you.

If you take the route to Memphis and over through Jonesboro, stop at Mammoth Springs on the MO/AR border and catch some trout on the Spring River

Did both going to and from Columbia for the game last fall. I-55 south from Memphis is one of the most boring drives in the country. Driving north through Arkansas with minimal interstates feels like a vacation route from 70 years ago. Nostalgic and much better scenery.

I've driven both routes many times. Driving through Rayville/Conway/Branson is much more scenic. I-55 is a bit faster, but boring as hell. Flip a coin and pick one.
