Welcome to the wonderful world of renting.
I've been doing it since June 2005.
You know this is going to warp your daughters for their entire lives, right?
They will most likely grow up to be DZ's at lsu.

Maybe I should clarify that to say "I'm not saying the middle-income housing won't go lower, because it definitely will..."

And although they love LSU, I've already started them thinking about going somewhere in Georgia. I see them in red and black for college.

You got out a good time, I think sales on this size house will plummet in the next five years. Sheeple will be scared into actually living within their means.
I was describing our new rental house. I got out of my house at about 190/ft. I think it's going to at least 150 if not lower. My new personal rule is never pay more than 15X rent.

Yellow and Blue would be much better. My alum!
With your genes, GA southern is the more likely option. Maybe if they are lucky kenesaw.

for the non ivy league grads (even if second tier ivy), what exactly is 15x rent?

Seems a little high to me.
Our rental house would sell for about 290-310, and that would price it at 238k. I think this fricker can go a lot lower. I guess maybe rents will fall too.

You mean it sounds a little low?

15x rent is too high in many cases.

I wonder how many houses in this country are below that threshold.

+1. #2 son graduated UGA last Spring, though raised a Tiger thru & thru. It was a great college experience and he ended up with a position in Atlanta that he would not have had a chance for had he been at LSU.
