If Tommy Tank was patient, we would have had another 2 runs.

I’m not going to be in my feelings about a dude who is top 10 in NCAA all time HRs in 3 seasons but you do you.

Who also has two hits today.

Tanks does swing at alot of first pitches, but swinging at a hanging breaking ball 3-1 is being patient.

It’s hard to argue with success, but in general I prefer patient at bats. Power hitters tend to be aggressive, and the average guys tend to work the count. You need both. A walk is a base runner, just like a single up the middle. Power hitters become more devastating with base runners. Need base runners. A solo shot is nice, but crooked number home runs are back breakers. Small ball is fascinating, but to be reall effective you have to have speed up and down the line up.
