It's Gary Patterson the Head Coach who is the defensive mind for them. Bumpas is the DC but it is Patterson that gets it done.

Patterson run's the entire d. D.B., gets the call from patterson and signal's the play in. Not sure you want a guy like that.
Saban did let Muschamp call the defense and scheme. He would let muschamp know if he made the wrong call, too.

When Nick was here everybody said it was Nick and nothing about Muschamp - but look what he has gone on to do without Nick.
