Except that it has nothing to do with this at all.
Geographically, the only places the NCAA could put us on a bus to for regionals and stay in the 350-400 mile window are USM (which they did) and ULL. The SEC teams further east can be sent to ACC schools. We can't. I don't get why people don't understand that.
First of all, you're only talking about this year, and ignoring all previous years to make a point. Second, Why do you suppose LSU couldn't be sent to an ACC team's regional? That's a lot closer than California or Oregon. Why are you dealing with an arbitrary number of 350-400 miles, as if I had stated that we needed to be within a certain distance? Why send LSU so far out of their way, but allow other teams to stay closer?
I tend to suspect that it has to do with what I've already explained. You're free to disagree with me. I gave my opinion, with reasonable logic. You're giving your opinion, while stating things as fact which are not fact. Such as "we can't" be sent to ACC schools. We can be sent anywhere the committee wants to send us.

Baseball America 5-24 Update
Baseball America has updated this morning and has LSU as a #2 seed now headed to OU's region who they have as the #7 national seed.

That is an NCAA number, not mine. They want to put teams on a bus as much as they can. I forget which number the NCAA uses.
When 11 teams in a league make the tournament, and so many ACC teams host, it is just natural that some SEC teams will have to play at ACC regionals. And the committee is going to pair them based on geography and who they can bus in.
For example, suppose Clemson hosts a regional. Why fly LSU to Clemson when they could bus Georgia there?
There is nothing that says LSU "can't" be sent to an ACC school--it is just unlikely.
Now what is in LSU's favor is the possibility of 2 regionals in Oklahoma. It isn't bussable, but it's a hell of a lot closer than the West Coast.
