We are taking our son for his first Disney trip this summer and I decided to get us tickets for Discovey Cove so he could swim with the dolphins. Has anybody here been there before? How was it? Is there anything I should make sure to do? Thanks in advance.

My thing is, take every advantage you can of traveling with kids and do as much shite as you can to create memories

People have opinions about do this, don’t do that, overrated versus underrated, ignore all of the idiots on this board and experience as many things as you can

Your kids aren’t going to know whether it’s overrated or underrated, they just will know, and always remember, that dad took me to swim with dolphins when I was a kid

I live over in Clearwater and have been twice with the kiddos, it is fantastic. Best lazy river in the world maybe...limited admittance so it will get full but never crowded.

best part is they require you to wear their wetsuit so everyone looks as dumb as the next guy.

food and drinks included but you are too busy to really go wild.

I had a freind who absolutely loved it. They did a whole week trip in a condo. His advice to me was to make sure the kids were a bit older, almost teenagers.

I did it about 10 years ago. It's great. Everyone goes for swimming with the dolphins, but everything else is awesome--the lazy river, snorkeling reef, feeding the rays, etc. The food/drinks were all included and you could grab them whenever you want, so you don't need to carry anything around with you.

As someone mentioned, they also limit the attendance, so it doesn't get too crowded.
