Sorry Boo, you are looking for a cause where it doesn’t really exist. Only 1 team can win the SECT and only 1 team can win the CWS. Saying a team that won the SECT but did not go on to win the CWS lost because they won the SECT is a classic correlation causation error. It’s not even that, because that would require there to actually be a correlation.
