I lived there from ‘13 - ‘17 and we loved it. Beautiful area, outstanding mountain biking and hiking, Smith Mountain Lake is awesome. Don’t know what it’s like today but the beauty and ease of life made up for the lack of some amenities.

Great spot. My friends and I do a mountain lake vacation every year and did that one year. Great views, clean, clear, deep lake, nice weather.
