My advice is to stick to a two row as long as possible. When you outgrow that, look at a minivan. They are cheaper, usually larger on the inside, very easy to live with (huge sliding doors, easier for toddlers to climb into, etc), and much more fuel efficient. The Toyota Sienna is a very reliable vehicle in this segment BTW.

Unless you need to tow something....then a minivan won't work. But the Palisade, Explorer, Pilot, Telluride, etc. aren't really great in that area either. The Yukon, Expedition, and Tahoe are excellent in that respect, but they are also much more expensive.
