Flew on 2 last week. One had them, the other did not. Southwest can’t guarantee the equipment until it leaves the gate.

Makes sense and I figured it was more luck of the draw than anything and I hate to slow the boarding process so I'll jplan to head to the back of the plane and just have them packed in the carry-on and if I see we don't have power, pull them out before stowing our luggage.
