So we just got back from several days in Boston. We were there to finally lay my parents to rest in West Roxbury. Figured I'd chime in here to provide some new info and validate info of others.

We stayed at the new Canopy by Hilton right by the North End. Great location to access North End and Faneuil Hall area.

As for eats, here's our takeaway:

Saltie Girl - went here taking Abita's recommendation as we had never been. Wife insists this is the absolute best clam chowder she's ever had. Lobster roll also legit. Great call and highly recommend.

Tresca on Hanover in North End - had dinner with the siblings and nieces/nephews. Long time favorite of my wife and I. Did not disappoint.

Capital Grille - this is in Back Bay on Boylston Street. Great steak restaurant. Service and food were both excellent. Great bourbon list too.
Definitely recommend if this is what you are in mood for.

Ocean Prime - this is in Seaport area. Fantastic restaurant. Great steak and great wine list. Would recommend.

Chatham Fish Pier - this is way out in Chatham on the Cape. Took the ride out there for first time since we sold our parents' place out there in 2022. Per the wife, this is by far the best lobster roll. Ever. Better than Saltie Girl. Comes in a to-go box but its legit. We wanted to go to Sundae School, which is the best ice cream by far, but they were only open Friday - Sunday. I was crushed....

Mike's Pastry/Modern Pastry - love both and visited these on alternating days. Think the nod goes to Mike's on the cannoli, but to Modern on the blueberry muffins. Cupcakes are a push.

Dolce on Hanover in North End - stopped by here several times to get coffee for the wife. Staff spoke mostly Italian which was great. Wife loved the coffee so we had to walk by there the morning we left town to get one more.

Great trip and truly one of my all-time favorite cities. Enjoy your visit and hopefully you find these posts helpful.
