see the movie didn't spin it like that at all. I knew her family must have been on the set cause they showed the drug use but implied drug use. Spun the motherhood angle quite a bit. Maybe that was the case. when she blew up she was gone. The movie was toned down alot from what I take after reading about her. and damn it was 2 hrs. UGGH

Sounds like a sanitized version of her life.
Her voice and singing were amazing and deserved accolades. My understanding of her personal character is she deserved criticism or worse.
The most widely recognized song can be viewed as a declaration of intentionality for self destruction. She didn't want to get better.
