But again, that’s not what he said. The “diabolical lie” is that most women can live their best, most fulfilling life without a long term intimate partner and especially without children. That is simply not the case for most women all all research on this topic supports that. Women who delayed or sacrificed starting a family for the sake of their career OVERWHELMINGLY regret it by their mid-30s and the percentage that regret it only goes up from there. For women post-menopause who never had children of their own choosing, over 90% regret it. Rates of anxiety, depression, suicide are all higher in these women and they have shorter life expectancies.

It is a fact beyond all coherent dispute that women who choose their career over having a family, or who disproportionately sacrifice time with their kids for their job, overwhelmingly regret it at some point in life.

For MOST women, it is a lie that you can be a boss bitch who don’t need no man. Many women can and do wear multiple hats, but very few find more happiness with their career.
