3. Stone Temple Pilots originally planned to contribute a different song than "Big Empty" to the soundtrack, but switched gears after Brandon Lee's death
What a great call! Big Empty fits the movie so well.
And I too never tire of the Visions / Shelly Webster story.

The Crow, Judgement Night, Airheads, Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight, PCU, and Last Action Hero all had great soundtracks in that 1993-1995 window.

Judgement Night
VASTLY underrated movie. I love it, yet a lot of people have never even heard of it.

The Crow was released in theaters on May 13th 1994.
I recently rewatched and it holds up very well IMO.
The Crow is one of the better comic book movies. The crazy part was it wasn't "woke," and didn't have $300 million CGI baked into the film that Hollywood is convinced that is what makes a movie great.
It just had a solid story, solid cast, and as yall noted, a great soundtrack, and herioc characters people could adore with villains we could despise.
Hell of a movie from an era when Hollywood could produce good movies.

I watched it last week and I think it has improved with time. I’m serious. The imagery is beautiful. It paved the way for movies like Blade and The Matrix. And the soundtrack is amazing.

Watched it finally. Love the visuals. The setting felt a lot like Gotham. I wasn’t sure if I liked it after the first 45 min but I liked it more and more after that.
