If like my hydro transmission. Most of my time is loader work or bush hog. If I was pulling disks more often or ground contact type work, I might prefer a gear drive.

I don't know about that brand tractor but I do have the shuttle shift. I don't mind working the shifter. I have a 26hp Mahindra with the mitsubishi diesel. It has been strong and does not require DEF.

I will use it mostly to spread gravel and feed my sawmill. Seems like the hydro would provide more "control" doing that type of stuff, based solely of course on my experience with my lawn mower. There is only about $2K price difference but my concern is reliabilty....just old school but seems like gears are more substantial and easier to work on? I know most compact tractors are probably hydro and I suspect resell value might be better but it may be that someone looking for a used unit may not be aware there is a difference.....
