I think it’s exaggeration
My wife and I have sex once or twice a week but I still joke about it since as a man I’d prefer daily. But it’s enough to not really complain or want to find it elsewhere

I suspect this is the norm for most folks who have been married 10 years or so. I bitch about it myself but its all for show....if my wife wanted to have sex as often as I pretend to I would have to beg off after a week or so LOL....its the way of men as we mature.
It is also pretty damned liberating not being lead through life by your dick. It is not noticeable when you are in the middle of it but being a slave to your pecker is a LOT of work.....
