I moved up when I was hitting more fairway woods and hybrids than irons into par 4s on my home course.

I still have a few fairway woods and hybrids, but I get to use the whole set on the 10 par 4s instead of drive, 5 wood, chip, etc.

I only carry it about 190 now, and if it is wet- it is difficult with no roll. On a warm, dry day when my body feels great and can move the club faster and carry over 220 and with roll get it to 240, but we don’t really get long, dry spells and our super waters the shite out of the course.
And my body feels pain most days.

If I play somewhere I’ve never played, I pick a tee around 6000 yards. That’s plenty of golf for moi. I’m not trying to qualify for the Tour, LIV, the green jacket, the gold jacket, etc
