Depends on which part of Louisiana you ask. People in the NOLA area care much more about the Saints than LSU while people in the BR area generally care more about LSU. I'm not sure about SW LA or North LA

I think aside from me being an alum and raised in a family of alums 15 minutes from campus, LSU pulling it off first made it more special. It was the first football title, pro or college, in the state in 45 years.

If you reverse it where the Saints won in 03 and 07 before LSU finally gets one in 09, I think it would be closer for more people. But it would still be LSU for me considering I was in school from 08-12 so I would have been a student at the time.

LSU is the bigger deal to me, but I think this is the correct answer. I was in the FQ after both the 2003 BCS title game and the Super Bowl win. Saints celebration was definitely bigger in the city.

North LA was mostly Cowboys fans before 2009
