The “Buried Treasure” album & video is a nice retrospective of Jimmy reminiscing over some of his earliest work. And the YouTube videos he made with Savannah during Covid are worth watching too.
Like others have said, I didn’t care much for his later years’ work; seemed like he became a caricature of himself. But his early stuff was sublime. Listen to some of his very first albums like High Cumberland for things like an early version of Livingston’s Gone To Texas. And his original video of Come Monday is a classic.
