Yeah, kind of an agree - still fun to get a look at a slice of tv life from the past.
1981-1987 were the prime cartoon years for me. It was such a fun memory to just sit for a few hours eating cereal, playing with action figures or hot wheels and watching cartoons. Smurfs, Chipmunks, Pac-Man, Super-friends, Kidd Video, Muppet Babies, The Littles, Shirt Tales, Pee-Wees Playhouse, Hey Vern It’s Ernest, and all the other stuff in between 3 channels or surfing.
It’s odd to me that my son is growing up in a time without Saturday Morning cartoons and standalone toy stores. Seems like he got cheated.

What was great about that era was that when we outgrew Saturday morning cartoons, Saved by the Bell and American Gladiators moved in to pick up the slack.
Teen Kelly Kapowski followed by Nitro and Zap dominating the arena was a solid transition from childhood to high school.
