So many of these same people trashed Jay Johnson last season. I truly don’t get it, but it’s sickening.

And they try to discredit him because he had two superstars. It’s utterly ridiculous. Also, completely ignore how great he did in his first season in the SEC without a true SEC caliber starting pitcher. In fact his first season at LSU is far more impressive than his championship season IMO. I am not looking it up but I think he won like 17 SEC games.

It’s a down season after one of the greatest seasons ever and people just can’t deal with it. I get being upset if it happened next season, but he is going to get a pass from me this season. He has a long history of being an excellent coach.

Who else has been to Omaha 3 times in the past 8 years? Maybe 5 others?

And there are people here who would rather DVH, yet he had a much worse season than this a number of years back. These same fans wanting him would have never been able to deal with his atrocious season. A down season can happen to anyone. At least it’s off one of the greatest seasons ever. Jay Johnson is much younger and has already accomplished more than he has in his long career.

Several of the leaders from last season said Jay Johnson was going to win a lot and I believer that as well.

People don’t think he will stay relentless? This is his life. If this happens again next season then I get the concern, but this is kind of where baseball is after winning a title. And it wasn’t just Ole Miss and Mississippi St.

I don’t think CPM ever got this much crap and he “only” won 1 championship. I believe 2011 for him was a similar season to this. I’ll still take the ceiling of this coach over others.
