Depends on if you’re talking public or private options.
Example: public golf in Houston sucks pretty bad. Lots of options, but all glorified goat ranches, crowded, and over priced. The nice public courses are way too expensive to justify not just joining a private course if you play a lot.
With that said, there are a lot of really nice private clubs in and around Houston.
Austin is very similar. Maybe the public golf scene is just dying. Who knows. Just feel it wasn’t like this at either location 10-15 years ago.
