try to not drink any calories but alcohol is the one I always fail with on the weekends
I’ll still get a Modelo at the bar/restaurant but at home I’m mixing up topo Chico with some tequila with a splash of lime, very low calories and gets the job done.

quote:I don't think I've heard that one, but the level of stupid shite I've seen women say and do pertaining to eating is outrageous.
Most people, women especially, have this ingrained excuse built into their heads about “needing energy.”
My favorite continues to be the whales that drink 600 calorie Starbucks concoctions AT LEAST once per day, but do 20 minutes of Peloton and can't understand why they're flabby.

I only eat once a day.
why
I can't speak for Ronricks, but I've been on the carnivore diet for almost 17 months now.
I only eat once a day most of the time, because I'm almost never hungry. I stay satiated well over 20 hours most days.
Only time that changes is about two days after I do a crazy amount of high repetition to exhaustion sets. I don't do that often, but my record for steak consumed in one day was 2 days after one of those workouts a few months ago. I ate 5lbs of steak w/in a 5 hour window.

A 2oz pour of tequila is 128 calories.
I get that even the “good” alcohol can add up easily for those trying to lose weight.

The only calories are from the tequila, topo Chico has zero calories.

quote:I started counting macros about 6 weeks ago. It's been an eye opening experience. If it has calories, carbs, protein, or fat, I'm weighing or measuring and logging it.
I think a large part of the population would maintain or lose weight at a strict 2000 calories. I think people that say they eat 2000 calories a day without carefully tracking/weighing are probably closer to 3000.
Not only have I cut fat, I've put on muscle and my cardio has taken a tick upwards when doing WOD's. I'll do another body scan here in a few weeks and can't wait to see the results.
I'm currently on a "maintain" plan, which consists of 2228 calories on a rest day with a split of 183g of carbs, 194g of protein, and 80g of fat. On workout days, I'm consuming 2481 calories with a split of 262g of carbs, 194g of protein, and 73g of fat.
My workout days are usually 4-6 days per week of CrossFit.

That's what the Macrostax app computes based on my body weight, goal weight, and physical activity on rest and workout days.
Naturally, I'm not overly concerned in hitting those calorie numbers with exact precision. I'm more concerned with hitting my protein number (first and foremost), and doing the best I can with carbs, and fats. I'd rather come up shy on my carbs and fats, but I always want to hit my protein. Usually, I'm shy on my calories, which I'm fine with as long I'm hitting my protein.
Did I mention that I want to hit my protein numbers?

I was just laughing at the lack of rounding
