It’s like a Greek tragedy’. Cop is going into the type of situation that gets a lot of cops shot. Innocent guy answers door and for some reason needs his gun to do so. Maybe it’s a rough neighborhood. Cop gets jumpy and shoots immediately.
Maybe the cop is concerned because the lady is with him. Not sure why she was in the vicinity at that point.

She wasn’t with him.. she was downstairs.
