At the 3:40-ish mark, it sounds like someone inside the apartment also says something about the police loud enough to be heard in the hallway.
You pretty much have to be a dumbass these days to answer the door with a gun in hand if the police are actively knocking on your door (and per the video it was announced very clearly multiple times). Like you said, there could maybe be argument that he shot too quickly but the guy is right there in the doorway with the gun in his hand when he answers. It's not holstered or anything along those lines.
I generally don't side with the cops in a lot of these situations because it's usually their frick up. But in this case? I can't really say it's a bad shoot.
