Go back to 2017, 2018 and 2019. Did Trump use his veto? Yes or no?
The problem isn’t non use of the veto. The problem is there are no conservatives in Congress. If Trump wanted to cut spending (I see no evidence of that)… he’d need a working relationship with favorable allies in Congress. That doesn’t exist — and won’t going forward. 2020 and 2022 were disasters or Trump allies.
The only way (real) spending cuts happen is we elect congress men to go cut SS, Medicare, and DOD. How well do you think a candidate running on that platform would do?
