Consider who is doing the judging. Some of the most brand-conscious people I know are wannabes and posers, or first generation money that will probably not translate to second. Not the type of folks you want to measure yourself against.
On the other hand, some of the most driven and awesome achievers I know, as well as the long term money guys, they may or may not drive something really nice but they keep it quiet. Measure yourself against those people and learn from them. They are sometimes quite willing to mentor and guide.
Also driving a 10yo Acura is how you move up. Reliable nice car, deprecation already happened. Rock on man.
