but you can refer back to my 1:53 pm w post where I clearly stated Kling should be used as defensive replacement only.
ok and? You also said "I would give Mitchell a shot nothing to lose and a decent chance he will hit better than .170."

Obviously Jay must have thought Brown was a better option than Kling because he started Brown all 3 games and only subbed Kling in late.
and again, how did that work out? Brown went 1/6 on the weekend (and is now hitting .125 in SEC play). I've already said Jay has given multiple players an opportunity to play and keep that spot, meaning he has sat Kling. However, every time he has taken Kling out, his replacement has underperformed. Which is why you saw Kling right back in the lineup Tuesday and he reached base 3 of his 4 plate appearances. When you see Kling in the starting lineup tomorrow night in a must win series, maybe you can write Jay a letter and tell him how dumb he is.

Based on his obsession, he won't write it so much as cut out the letters from magazines and paste it together.

Inferior opponents don’t matter so you can’t include that in your argument. Even though Tommy Tanks went 0-5 against the same inferior opponent

So when the next guy isn’t hitting up to your standards in his first 100 SEC plate appearances then what? You literally think everyone is gonna come in and hit .280 in the SEC. For every Larson you get you probably have 3 or 4 guys like Milazzo, Braswell, etc who need a few seasons of actual experience which equates to around 130 plate appearances per season.
Andrew Stevenson, in his second full season at LSU had a .193 batting average against all teams and a .289 OBP. In his junior season, he led the team with a .335 BA and was second only to Alex Bregman in OBP.
Kramer Robertson, against all teams, hit .232 his sophomore year. His junior and senior seasons, he hit .324 and .307 respectively.
We heard many of the same types of comments currently being said about Kling. That they should transfer, should never hit again, etc.

Agreed. He is so fixated on saying Kling has had 2 seasons against SEC pitching that he can’t even realize the kid doesn’t even have a full seasons worth of plate appearances yet. In his eyes, guys aren’t allowed to improve. The numbers since April show Kling is improving which makes sense as he is getting more experience. Not really sure why he is having such a hard time understanding this.
Plus I also think CJJ was putting too much pressure on him putting him in the leadoff spot. I actually think he is going to do pretty good in the 8 hole and if not, well at least we have a better defender at one of the most important positions in the field.

List the players sitting on the bench for him to play that aren't struggling though.

Also playing worse teams

But he gets on base. A guy who can do that in front of Tommy and Bear is valuable. Kling, Larson, Tommy and bear.

I guess you could say that…
Except for the fact in that time they played Tennessee (current #1 team) and Texas A&M (former #1 team)

Kling has always hit midweek pitching that is why his OBP is .400 for season and. 291 in SEC. He can handle midweek pitching he cannot handle SEC pitching.
When LSU played A&M they were #1 team in country. Not surprisingly LSU won 2 out of 3 vs #1 team with Kling out of starting lineup.
Same for Neal he hammers midweek pitching and hits .132 in SEC.Not surprisingly the only game LSU lost to Aggies was the one Neal caught.

The definition of correlation without causation. His replacement went 1/6. Sane guy is statistically worse on the season. Are you trying to be dumb now?

You and your small mind can laugh all you want but it's a fact LSU beat the #1 team in the country 2 out of 3 with Klinger out of the starting lineup and the only game they lost was with Neal catching.

Right, Jake Brown was why we beat A&M

Larson is a freshman Kling is a sophomore do u you not think Kling practiced at all last year or scrimmages against LSU pitchers who are SEC pitchers. Do u not think a player that has had 2 years in the program has not gotten more experience than a player in his first year?

Without any sarcasm, I will say that I believe Jake Brown's 7 pitch walk in game 1 went a big way toward helping us win that night.
That doesn't change my stance on this. Just giving credit where I believe it's due.

Kling avg only .217 but his ob avg is over .400 (which is higher than Tanks)
LSU needs Kling to be better in SEC play. That’s the bottom line. He hasn’t produced in conference play. LSU needs a few more players to step up or the season will end very soon.

Rutard, name an outfielder that should be playing over Kling. Which other OF is swinging a better bat than Kling? Is there a better fielding OF?
Who is your starting 3?

Simple Rudy, I realize you don't understand a whole lot about what you may or may not be seeing while watching the games. You keep Rain Man repeating the same fkn numbers that have been proven don't mean shite at this point. But maybe you will and learn something here.
On Sunday,
-Big Al caught the previous 2 nights and wasn't catching game 3 when you have two other catchers.
-Neal swings a LH bat and the aTm starter was a RH.
-Brady needs the swings going forward. His ABs have been much better of late.
-Al needed rest after catching.
-Trav moving to catcher would've opened up the DH and who would you have batted DH if not Neal?
-Neal is the better catcher over Trav.

Neal is a better catcher than Trav are u serious?Did you even watch the Northwestern game he is a human sieve. How is hitting .132 in SEC play a sign of better at bats. He has always hit midweek pitching.

He is. There’s a reason he still is our DH even when Neal is in the lineup and Milazzo isn’t. He had a bad game Tuesday. Trav has had plenty of those in his career. Or maybe you have forgotten the 2022 season where any ball in the dirt on strike 3 was questionable if we’d actually record an out. He’s caught one game since March for a reason
