Depends on how much you need. You can buy the mason sand by the yard and half-yard at places like Jim Stone co. I believe there is one in Lacombe. You can probably find somewhere else around Slidell that has bulk soils. Some nurseries will carry it, but usually it isn't mason sand. Nursery sand tends to have more pebbles in there. Lawn mowers love to throw those pebbles and windows love to catch them.
It's probably in the $40-50 range for a yard if I had to guess. I have a half ton regular truck, and I try not to carry a full yard of sand at a time. It's too heavy on paper, but I've done it.
