Depends on what you want out of life. I quit my job at the tail end of covid when they said to vax little kids, babies and pregnant moms (no pics). Actually bought a house in another state without anything all lined up. We had saved a decent amount to have time to figure things out. I ended up working in a local brewery part time. Free beer and food on the job. Was almost an even trade after selling my house in ATX and buying another.
I regretted it at first, mostly cause of 25 years of shite in my house to move. Now that we are settled, I am glad we started over at 50. I don't intend to go back into my previous work unless things get dire. We also don't live to make heaps of money. I'm living on 5 acres of pines in a older but cool house and I wouldn't want to go back at this point.
