i know we're on the same side here and i'm not trying to call you out per se - but you're saying that the dude gave them the ammo they were asking for, and i'm saying that validating that is playing into their hands. we cant possibly ask every single human on our side in a fight like that to be completely perfect and have a completely clean history, and then when something happens, immediately jump to condemn them. it's an impossible standard that they KNOW we cant possibly live up to, which is their entire strategy.

it's so disingenuous anyways. i mean look at this very thread. we have people saying "oh yeah she was a disgusting worthless fatty who was deserving of every bit of ridicule she got, that fat fricking cow! but nothing racist of course, we would never say something mean spirited like that."

also, i do approach this as a christian. i'll call a fatty, a fatty and an idiot, an idiot. i can't support mocking somebody for race. just can't abide it.

she's a fat disgusting slob with despicable views because of life choices. attack her for that. not because of how she was born.

i understand what you're saying. Rules for radicals works because conservatives are forced to staying true to their principles. it's asking me to violate a moral code in the face of political expediency. when you're on the left and your moral code is advancing the cause at all cost, you don't have those limits.

again,

i won't call for any punishment, but the monkey thing just isn't condonable.
