Exactly. And if he cant trust me that I know what clean is then I'm certainly not in a position to be trusted with following his advice.

Most likely not. Fiber can help with consistency of bowel movements by softening stool. It can help for diarrhea issues, but regular incidences of excessive bowel movements indicates an inflammatory condition that could be exacerbated by diet, illness, or lifestyle.
If you want to try fiber, soluble fiber will slow things down whereas insoluble will speed things up. YMMV.
