Magnetic Oil Fill and Drain Plugs For Generator

Are the above mentioned accessories worth it? I was just about to pull the tigger on these, but then thought about how well my generators run. So are they worth installing in generators that are a few years old, but very low hours?

Will increase horsepower by 18%.

They are cheap so it’s not some big investment.
Do you actually need them? Probably not on a generator. You should be changing the oil regularly on generators and they aren’t stopped and started as much as a vehicle engine. The generator should run a a generally constant speed as well.
It’s not going to hurt anything to have one on though and it’s cheap, so why not.

I put them on everything... generator, fourwheeler, dirtbike, lawnmower etc.

It doesn't sound like it's cost prohibitive. Go for it.
New small engines, I run for about 30 minutes to an hour, then I do a "break-in" oil change. The oil sparkles like Pert shampoo. After that, I just change it after long, hot runs.
As far as preventative care, other than a fuel additive for ethanol if you have to run it, I would keep on hand a spare carburetor. For most portable sets, you can get a carb kit with new gaskets, fuel lines, and related hardware for about $25 on Amazon. They are easy to swap out, and might save the day in an emergency.
