At Toyota Center in a suite getting hazed by former Aggie football players b/c they have to pipe in LSU music b/c our band isn't here. Texas, MSU and Aggie band all here. Are we that cheap?

It could also be the fact that all of the students are off on Christmas break. It takes $$$ to fly them all back in for a game. $$$ that's already being spent on the bowl game in January.

Students on break...they already have to go to ATL for a few days. I wish they were there, but I'd rather have them in Atlanta....as opposed to having 15 members in Houston.

Who "hosts" the event? If it's the Big XII, then it makes more sense for UT & A&M to staff it with a band. MSU is more of a basketball school than a football school no matter how many times in a row they beat Notre Dame, so it makes a little sense in that case, too.

LSU is the guest at a holiday tournament for a game that isn't televised--spending the $ to take the band isn't worth it.

It very likely has nothing to do with the band's absence today, but just in case anybody's wondering... we ARE broke. The state's ordered some pretty nasty cuts for 2009, and it's going to REALLY suck.

How bad can a hazing be from a group that only knows 5 words among them?

How does the states budget cuts affect athletics at LSU since athletics (football) funds itself?

Its the piss poor play by the defense (Malleveto)has affected the budget more than anything.
