There was a vibe from about 92-98 that felt different. Everything was promising and exciting, music was creative.

I agree. Dating, going out on a date listening to a CD or the radio while traveling to a restaurant, movie or a dinner with your lady. Things were so much easier. I'm a highschool product from the 90's.
