frick off, a cop doesn’t get to wreck someone just because he’s a cop. Cop pulled in front of the ATV guy because he’s an authoritarian prick who knows he won’t get into trouble for trying to kill someone.
Or maybe he saved one of those pedestrians’ lives.
There it is folks.
The Karen argument of all Karen arguments.
If it saves just one life.
Nobody can say if the 4 wheeler dude would have ever killed or injured any of the bikers. And therefore can't use the "what if" argument to justify the cop nearly killing that guy. And vehicles aren't even allowed on the path.
Careful OT, agreeing with the cop's actions sets precedent that it's OK for cops to try to kill anyone (use deadly force) for a ticketable offense.
You pull up to make a right turn at a long line red light in shite hole BR traffic. You "make your own lane" on the right shoulder to get to the right turn you want to make because its clear (and there is/was a cyclist or pedestrian within 500 yards of you). Out of nowhere, WHAM!!! BRPD patrol unit pulls in front of you, destroying your vehicle and injuring you.
No recourse for you. Cop's not even paying for your vehicle damage because you could've killed someone while illegally (and possibly lethally) operating your motor vehicle.
