Methodist church just split.
The liberals are now the UMC with the gay pastors.
The GMC (global methodist church) are the conservatives who are trying to figure out what version of the bible the UMC is reading, but are mostly glad to have the purple haired activists elsewhere.
The split is basically along political lines and I suspect the UMC church will bleed members as they become more and more progressive without the GMC former members to keep them in check.
