Just saw something on the news saying Methodist churches will allow gays to be in the ministry. If that’s how you wanna live your life, go ahead but that is completely against Christian living. How can they condone someone living in sin this way? Makes no sense to me, the day baptists start allowing it will be the last time I’ll walk through those doors
I suspect if you did some research into the life of preachers you'd find they do things against Christian living at about the same rate as laymen.
I'd also posit there has most likely ALWAYS been gay preachers in the Methodist church or any other. Lots of gay folks in the world. The difference is them being openly gay I guess. Still gay either way.
Finally, you can rest assured there are gay Baptist preachers and at least some of them are known to their congregation to be gay and to the Church itself.
