I'm sure people had this same view in the 70s

Might want to check the demographics of 1970s America and compare to today. Not even remotely the same country.

My father was a young Dem back then. He is now the most conservative person I know.

a young dem in 1968 wouldnt have to change a single belief or position to become the most conservative person most of us know in 2024.

Just because the MSM tries to make it a reality doesn’t mean it is. Conservatives by far outnumber liberals.

I was the first conservative Republican in my family. My family made fun of me. But now I make the big stacks.

even IF this were true, which i dont believe it is, does it really matter when the Left controls the media, Academia, Hollywood, all the three-letter agencies, the entire federal bureaucracy, and, increasingly, the military?

Well, if you say so…

I thought they were all going to move to that new land of unbridled freedom and opportunity:

What gives me comfort is that those types aren’t having kids, while conservative families are.

But it not enough to offset the huge Latino and Black fertility rate.

Latinos and Blacks will always be Democrats or hard left, they don't like Biden because he's a old moderate white guy of yesteryear....

If Biden was 20-30 years younger, the election would be in his favor by now and it would have been another Dole-Clinton '96 type election.

No they don't. If that was the case, Republicans would be winning elections left to right since 1980, Republicans haven't won the popular vote in 20 years.

They've been outnumbered for a while, but systemic advantages (e.g. gerrymandering, deference to a corrupt SCOTUS) have ensured that the far right still occupies outsized political power in this country.

Hopefully we can step it up and hold the power perpetually. Burgum firing up the camps will be a big help.

2020 proved it’s not who votes but who counts the votes.

Probably not. Attempting a coup then making women second-class citizens seems to turned most of the moderates against you.

Better luck next government.
