It was a cruiser and 100% the intent of the car. It was for the guy who wanted a classic hotrod with modern convinces with a warranty and dealer support. The customer buying a Prowler is not cross shopping a M3.... completely different customer bases.

It woould have been a bigger hit if f they offered a V8 and a manual option.

Many have swapped engines and transmissions.

The Howler had the 8 and manual. It had more of a truck bed with a cover than the hatch back like the Prowler. If I remember right, they used a 4.7 because the 5.2 and 5.9 were too wide.
