It's weird. Wife and I each have a single W2, standard deduction, two children with no childcare credit. $130k gross income, we're lower middle class. We literally have nothing that we file but our W2s and mortgage. No student loans or anything extra.
Somehow, we got an audit letter last year. Nothing came of it except for our return being delayed.

Actually, that's upper middle class nationally. Only reason I looked it up is because the Wife and I don't make much more than that
