What is the advantage of an eSim versus a SIM card?

I work overseas quite a bit and it’s a total PITA to have to replace the physical SIM card in your phone in countries where American carriers like ATT, T Mobile etc dont operate.. usually you have to buy a new cellular plan at the airport in whatever country youre in and they replace the SIM card at the counter, or you can do it yourself.. with an eSIM you can toggle back and forth from one carrier to another, especially beneficial when banks or other financial institutions are trying to send 2Fa to ur American phone number …. There may be other benefits to having an eSIM, but that’s the one advantage im aware of .

The phones with a physical sim come with the little tool to open the sim port, it’s really not hard to do and it takes all of 5 seconds. But I guess if you changed sims very often because of international travel, it would be a pain in the arse to keep up with the little tool and an extra SIM card.

I have the 13 pro max and I’ll probably ride it into the ground. Best phone I’ve ever had. Several years old and the battery still goes for days with normal day to day use. If I’m on it a lot on an off day, the battery does drain faster but that’s any phone. Just texting and calling, it’ll last 3 days.
