St Augustine crawls pretty quick. I did a checkerboard pattern at a previous house and it filled in quickly. If you’re hesitant to do plugs you could buy a pallet or two and checkerboard it.

I’ll probably do this. Saw a 64 pack of plugs for $90. Should be able to get them down after this rain has passed.
I assume I should water these just like they’re sod but not too much water?
